Platform status
An honest view of the advanced PapyDocs modules: what works today and what each one still needs.
Papy Offline
AvailableOnce a page has been opened, local tools keep working without a connection: the application, the PDF engine and the OCR models are cached by your browser.
Still needed: Pages never opened online are not available offline. Server and AI features need a connection.
Papy API
AvailableAuthenticated HTTP endpoints for merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, numbering, watermarking, cleaning, protecting and unlocking PDFs. Files are processed in memory and never stored.
Still needed: Self-service key management and usage dashboards. Keys are currently issued by the operator.
Papy Knowledge
Partly availableFast full-text search across the documents you load, entirely in your browser.
Still needed: Semantic (meaning-based) search and persistent collections require an embeddings service and secure storage.
Open the toolAdvanced signatures
Partly availableVisual signatures placed on any page, created locally.
Still needed: Certificate-based signatures (PAdES), identity verification, multi-signer workflows and an audit trail require a trust service provider and accounts.
